SPECIAL EVENTS
President John has taken off with a bang! He conceived and organized our first Disc Golf tournament and fundraiser. We had some foursomes all lined up, donations and pledges ready, some special guests from the Life Center (a day program for mentally challenged folks) to play and accept the donations, and some Key Club players. They were all ready on October 27th. Unfortunately, John didn’t order up the weather. It RAINED! L
John is not deterred. We will reschedule for next spring.
KEY CLUBS
St. Dom’s High School and Lewiston High Key Clubs are back meeting regularly. St. Dom’s meets Monday nights at 6:30. Lewiston meets Thursdays at 2:15.
AND, with much pride on our part, Leavitt High School has a Key Club. They have been meeting informally and recruiting until now, and they are about to become official! More to come about their official kick-off as a club.
MISSING
If you haven’t been at a meeting recently, you have been missing some great speakers, and we have been missing you. Make it a point to take a break from work on Wednesdays for lunch, at your Kiwanis Club meeting
Thought for today: Some drink at the fountain of knowledge, others just gargle.
